...and on to the next one...

Phew. The last three weeks have been an absolute frenzy of activity...20+ hour work days, shifting my schedule to 3rd shift, a trip to LA, my art in 2 shows.  I've taken the past two days to sort of do basically nothing and recover. Still can't seem to shake the graveyard-shift schedule, but at least I feel a lot more awake/human than I have in what seems like forever.

I sent these guys off to My Plastic Heart, NYC for their Soft* Plush Exhibition, which opened last night. You can see pics of the other pieces I sent here, at My Flickr Page.

Cocoa, sold

Rosamund, sold

Saltbaby, sold

I was bummed that I couldn't make it out to the opening (both to see the show, and it's been a long time since I've been in NYC), but coming off the crazy work/travel bender, I was afraid that would just push me over the edge.

Huge thank you to everybody who gave my babies new homes, and everybody who stopped by to see all the awesome artwork in both the Inle show at Gallery 1988, and the Soft show at My Plastic Heart!

Now that I've rested up a bit, I can hook up my mountainclimbing gear and attempt to tackle the giant pile of correspondence that's been building up....oof...

Very nice work, all of it! Thanks so much for sending out updates, I always enjoy and look forward to them.

It must have been hard to let some of those beseeching, woebegone bunnies go. Do they have a little tail in the back? Always wondered!

Yours truly,
Melanie B.
