I've been collecting some awesome things from the corners of the internet, and wanted to share them with all of you because I think they are amazing! These are all projects and works started completely independent of me, but based on or around my art, or projects I have been involved in. It makes me so happy :)
Here, Lisa Trimm shows us a time-lapse of her painting the main character from "The Maker", in oils.
Mountain View High School's chamber orchestra performed a live-score of The Maker earlier this year!
This is Osmund, a Maker-inspired character by Seawhisped on Deviantart

The Maker, Jack Skellington and Frank from Donnie Darko make a pretty mischievous trio, sculpted in sweets on Pedro Santos' birthday cake. |
And check out this awesomeness (full blog play-by-play here)!! Judi Mowat takes inspiration from one of my old Dirty Bunny brooches to make an entire Halloween costume!

I mean this from the bottom of my heart, this stuff flatters me to no end. I am so thankful to have the ability to not only create the world that exists in my mind, but to inspire others to create as well. My life revolves around the satisfaction that comes from getting my hands dirty and being a Maker in my own right, and any time I have even the smallest influence in others feeling the same satisfaction, I feel like I am really doing something right. Thank you to everyone who shares their projects with me and with the world, it makes one artist very happy.
Seriously, heroically wonderful!
ReplyDeleteWOW - how wonderful - and a whole high school orchestra playing along to the movie about your precious dust bunnies - how wonderful. Tear-jerking! Congratulations on your success, Amanda. So wonderful.
